This is a great journal for my tween, she is able to write her thoughts down. Also locks.

We bought this to send in a Christmas donation gift box for a preteen girl. The quality looks very nice. Book appears solid. Hopefully the young lady will like it and use it well!

Great for a preteen to hep get some feelings out

I bought this for my 11-year-old granddaughter, and she loves it! The lock is important for her, living in a home with five siblings. The prompts help her focus her thoughts. She's a bit high-spirited and doesn't really lack self-esteem, but it's still helpful for her to focus on how she wants to feel. The book is sturdy and attractive. I definitely would recommend it, and I'm thinking of getting one for all my grandkids.

My niece wanted a diary with a lock and key, and I came across this one. She's a young teen and I thought she'd like a diary with some prompts for self-awareness, self-love, and empowerment. I am glad I gave her this diary - she truly loves it!The vegan leather cover and its design is lovely, and the binding is sturdy. The prompts are easy to follow and they encourage the young teen to feel more comfortable penning her thoughts and share them with a close grown-up (in this case, my niece comes to me - her aunt, and her mom).I feel this simple tool has given us a lot of opportunity to share and bond over a lot of topics.

It was what I was expecting. I gave it to mo 12 year old daughter and she loved it.

My pre-teen niece was struggling with her emotions and all of the hard things that pre-teen years bring. When I saw this I was attracted to the guided questions that were easy for young kids to answer but also are helpful to them. I love how it brings it all around to their mood and the wheel is insanely helpful to show them how the emotions all interact with each other. My niece has loved it so much and we have seen a huge increase in her mood and emotions. Still giving it 5 stars but I do feel like a bigger journal would be better for longterm as this only has enough space for 12 weeks and I would love to see something longer.

I purchased this for my high functioning son. The emotion wheel really helps him explain his feelings. The color doesn't bother him but I did tell him he can remove the notebook. He likes the lock although he didn't change it. I wish there was more space to reply on some of the entries. Also, it establishes a routine of questions that may become boring to answer after so long but we will see.

I thought of my niece when I saw this. With her entering a new school with many new schoolmates and no siblings to look after her I wanted her to have a safe space to “talk” about her feelings and experiences. She’s a chatty kid now but tough years are around the corner and this book is designed to keep the lines of communication with a trusted adult open with weekly check-ins. I really liked that aspect of this journal. I checked with my sister in law before giving it to my niece and she really loved the idea. My niece texted me as soon as she got it and was so excited to use it. Very happy with this at first blush and hopeful it proves to be useful for my niece and her parents in the coming months/years.

Who doesn’t love a book that locks? This book gives you a chance to work out feelings and thoughts on your own with some guidance that looks helpful. I may get one for my own self!
